European Conference on Innovation and e-Business

The European Conference on Innovation and e-Business will take place on 26-27 May 2005 in Brussels. The event is organised by the European Commission and will bring together high-level policy makers in Europe, researchers and practitioners with the objective to debating how e-business and innovation are linked.

Both themes have attracted a lot of public attention in recent years and now seem to converge. e-Business is part of the modernisation of enterprises and enabling new ways of doing business. A central focus of the Conference will be how to design policies that address e-Business and innovation in a complementary manner, thus helping enterprises to restructure and to move into new fields.

The Conference will discuss the key success factors for innovation and e-Business and reflect on the best possible ways to facilitate the management of change. Participants are invited to bring in their personal experience and to challenge traditional policy responses, with the view to reorienting them towards the real needs of enterprises.
