The new Media - 2005/02/08 14:52

Hi everyone!

I have noticed that the eBusiness Watch hasmade a report on the media industry in 2002.

What I would like to know is if there's any newer reports on the
effects ofeBusiness on the media industry.

I am a master student in Information Systems in Norway, and I'm trying
to map the effects of eBusiness on the media industry. I am especially
interested in how this new form of doing business has changed the
competition environment and fusion of different media channels through
eBusiness (TV and Radio coming together with online newspapers in new
alliances, thus giving the audience a new channel for recieving the
media \"end-product\").

Sincerely,

yvind Hellang (MIS Student)

There is a great difference between Internet and other media. TV,
radio, newsp., magazines are one-to-many comm. models while the
Internet is mixed, many-to-one or many-to-many model.

Using www, traditional media has been changing in way of great
customatization, cost cutting, new revenue streams, more effective
e-advertising etc. In other words, the future impact should be
noticable for media and us as readers/watchers.
