The contribution to total production value or GDP of this sector is only about 4%. However, publishing & printing is one of those sectors within the manufacturing industries where probably the most severe impacts of ICT occur, regarding products, production processes as well as the relationships between customers and suppliers. The products of this sector are particularly suitable to be traded electronically since they can easily be converted into digital goods.
