In 2006, e-Business [email protected] looks at e-business developments in three ICT industries: telecommunication services, consumer electronics, and other ICT manufacturing. These industries are closely related to each other due to digital convergence of platforms and technologies. Convergence is thus a cross-sectoral issue with a significant impact on market structure and competition.
At this workshop, implications of convergence for industry players and for policy will be discussed. What are challenges, how can they be addressed?
e-Business [email protected] and the European Commission's DG Enterprise and Industry invite representatives of the respective industries to attend this workshop and to discuss convergence issues with members of the study team. We are looking forward to receiving feedback and comments, which will be reflected in the forthcoming study reports on these industries.
The workshop is organised by Berlecon Research and DIW Berlin, in cooperation with DG Enterprise & Industry. It is part of the e-Business [email protected] workshop-series of 2006.
