e-Business W@tch Conference 2006/07

ICT Impact on Firms and Industry Structure -
Industry and Policy Perspectives

Brussels, 30 January 2007

Venue: Centre Albert Borschette (CCAB), Room 1A
36, rue Froissart
1040 Brussels

Summary

e-Business uptake has huge potential for boosting growth and jobs in Europe - but action is still needed to make this happen. That was the conclusion from the January 30, 2007, European Commission conference with business and technology experts from across Europe. The conference generated some concrete proposals for action to assist the deployment of e-business technologies.

The conference was attended by about 100 participants, mostly e-business policy makers (at the European, national and regional levels), representatives of industry federations, business advisors and consultants, ICT service providers and researchers dealing with ICT and e-business issues. Conference attendance was international, gathering participants from many European countries, the USA and China.
